Materials and Construction
Using only the finest materials, we apply our combined experience of over 100 years to bring you the perfect artist canvas.
TIMBER
Imported & double-fumigated, finger-joined & kiln-dried blonde obeche timber (no warping, lightweight)
CLOTH
Locally sourced 340gsm, 100% pure cotton duck canvas of the highest quality.
PRIMER
ETH stretched canvases are double hand-primed Water-based acrylic primer, suitable for any medium, rendering cloth 100% non-absorbent.
They are then sanded using a technique that yields a perfectly smooth finish, but with the sufficient, essential tooth required to grip your paint and optimally reflect light off your colours.
This technique can be adjusted to achieve bespoke textures. Tinted and clear primer available on request.
